SFW is committed to protecting all the personal information that we process.

SFW only holds personal information on the families we work with which we believe is necessary to carry out our work in a responsible and effective way, in the legitimate interests of SFW’s business.

SFW explains carefully to all families, before it begins a relationship with them, the information that will be held, how and why it will be used and the rights that the families have in relation to the information that is held.

The data collected includes relevant background information on family members (including contact details, ethnic origin and any special circumstances) and evidence designed to monitor the impact of our work.  The latter includes data extracted from school records and data collected specifically for monitoring purposes.  All such data is kept securely in accordance with SFW’s Data Protection and Confidentiality Policy.  It is retained for as long as SFW considers this necessary and, in normal circumstances, it is only shared with third parties in aggregate or in a way that does not enable any individual to be identified.
